Hand-cut walnut coasters from the North Toe sawmill — 4"x4" squares with the live edge preserved. The pale creamy strip is the sapwood at the outside of the tree; the rich dark brown is the heartwood from the center. Same piece of walnut, two natural tones, no two coasters alike. Saw marks left visible across the face for the rustic feel; finished with food-safe oil so a sweating glass won't damage them. Cut from slab offcuts that would otherwise head to the burn pile — Nick uses every piece. Set of 4. Stocked at Griffith's; pick up at the counter, get them delivered locally, or have them shipped anywhere in the US.
